Great feeling rope that’s soft on the skin. Made from 100% natural jute, and free from harmful batching oils.
Jute is ideal for Shibari because it has high friction texture, ensuring secure knots, while at the same time maintaining low elasticity, so it remains easy to untie when you’re done.
It comes in 6mm thickness, and its natural color. The ends are securely wrapped in tight whipping, for a smooth tying experience. The tails are left long so you can trim them to your desired length.
Soft from day one
Loose fibers get singed off with an open flame. We then apply our special conditioning formula.
This process ensures your rope is soft on the skin from the day it arrives.
JUTE SOFTENING
How do we get our rope so soft?
Softening jute takes a lot of elbow grease, and the first step is breaking it in. Breaking the rope in reduces stiffness and exposes loose fibers.
Our rope is broken in with a minimum of twelve passes each.
